As a native of Baltimore, Maryland, Morgan State University has always held a special place in my heart.
Raised in a family with strong ties to Morgan's legacy, I grew up in HBCU culture and the close community that defines the university.
Now, as a candidate for Mister Morgan State University, I am determined to bring back the sense of belonging and camaraderie I experienced growing up.
My vision for my candidacy extends far beyond the traditional role of a campus leader. I aspire to be a Mister Morgan who students can relate to and consider a friend if anything.
With a strong commitment to advocating for my peers, I hope to implement resources that not only promote academic success but also create a campus environment in which students can TRULY enjoy their college experience.
Driven by my desire to make a real impact, I am passionate about giving back to the community, particularly the youth of Baltimore. I believe in creating programs that bring about tangible change and leave a lasting legacy, both within the school community and the broader Baltimore community.
In terms of my accolades and campus involvement, I've been fortunate to maintain a track record of academic excellence. I've received recognition with the Alpha Iota Academic Excellence Award and have consistently earned placement on the Dean's List. As a dedicated scholar within the Clara I. Adams Honors College, I'm committed to pursuing academic excellence both inside and outside the classroom.
My involvement extends beyond academics. On campus, I serve as the Junior Class Senator and actively engage with organizations such as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). These experiences have allowed me to develop leadership skills and contribute meaningfully to our university community.
We should’ve made it to the Super Bowl but at least Lamar is the MVP.
